Evelyn Boyer, 77, of Wheelersburg, died Saturday evening, November 14, 2009 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born August 15, 1932 in Sciotoville to Lowell and Anna Williams Boyer. Evelyn graduated from Minford High School in 1951 and soon after attended Portsmouth Interstate Business College in Portsmouth. While there she was chosen as Miss Interstate. She worked many years as a waitress and was of the Baptist faith. Evelyn enjoyed music, flowers, travel, and working on jigsaw puzzles. She is survived by her brother James Boyer and sister Mary Boyer, both of Wheelersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with Pastor Herman Stewart officiating. There will be no visitation. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
