Franklin D. McNutt, 72, of Portsmouth died Monday August 5, 2013 at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born July 21, 1941 in Chillicothe a son of the late John and Lissie Holsinger McNutt, He was a former mechanic, loved country music and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Davidson McNutt; a daughter, Julie Muncy and husband Steve of Portsmouth; 3 sisters, Darlene Lewis of Portsmouth, Donna Shepherd of Portsmouth, Marlene Minehart of Fairborne; 2 stepsisters, Phyllis Adams of Mansfield and Dolly Kun of Virginia; 2 brothers, Paul V. McNutt of New Boston and Roger McNutt of Franklin furnace and 1 stepbrother, Joe Riffe; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his special hospice nurse, Garnet. He was also preceded in death by a son, Franklin McNutt Jr.; a daughter, Melissa McNutt; a brother, Ralph McNutt; 3 sisters, Betty Tombragel, Ramona Blevins and Pauline Simpson. Services will be 1:00 PM Friday August 9, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Darrell Musick officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
