Franklin D. Sturgill, 74, of New Boston died Wed., March 4, 2009 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born Oct. 6, 1934 in Olive Hill, KY., a son of the late Wade and Pearl Smith Sturgill. He was a former New Boston Fireman and Army veteran. He is survived by a son, Steven Keller and wife Takako of Westerville; a daughter, Kimberly Nolen and Jeff Marsh of Wheelersburg and three grandchildren, Justin Nolen, Josh Nolen and Sammy Keller. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Nelson Sturgill; two brothers, Bill Sturgill and Wade Sturgill Jr.; three sisters, Garnett Lochard, Maxine Sturgill and Blanche Goddard. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 9, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park.
