Gary Hager Joseph, 61, of Wheelersburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, with his loving family by his side.
Born on March 12, 1965, in Portsmouth, Gary was the son Kenneth Sr. and Ann (Nickerson) Joseph.
A graduate of Wheelersburg High School, Gary spent his career as a dispatcher in the trucking industry. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication throughout his years of service. Gary had a deep interest in genealogy and ancestry research, always enjoying learning about family history and preserving those connections for future generations. He also loved photography and found great joy in capturing special moments through his camera.
Gary is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Joseph of Wheelersburg; his stepdaughters, Margie (Karl) Stanley of Wheelersburg and Heather Musick of Wheelersburg; ten grandchildren, Tiffany, Autumn, Ashley, Tristian, Erica, Kylie, C.J., Alexis, Brianna and Grayson; and six great-grandchildren, Braxton, Braylyn, Bentley, Avery, Chloe, and Chandler. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Gary was preceded in death by his brothers, Ken Joseph Jr. and Keith Joseph.
Gary will be remembered for his love of family, his quiet kindness, and the special memories he created with those who knew him. His legacy will live on in the lives of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 18, 2026, 10:30 AM, D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation in Wheelersburg, with Richard Stiles officiating. Visitation begins at 9:30AM; interment to follow at Memorial Burial Park.
