Age 77 of South Webster, died peacefully on January 18, 2016 in Columbus. He was born September 7, 1938 in Scioto Furnace to Roscoe and Katherine (Hunter) Queen. He was a 1956 graduate of Bloom Vernon High School. For 25 years Gene worked at the Lennox Company in Columbus as a forklift driver. He loved playing pool, cards, working in the yard, and following the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; one daughter, Terri Hart of Reynoldsburg; two brothers, Richard Queen (Sandy) of Kirkersville, Donnie Queen of Scioto Furnace. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Joe Queen.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.
