Age 67 of Portsmouth passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at his home. He was born January 22, 1950 in Portsmouth to Arthur and Ruth (Fannon) Sullivan. George spent many years as a truck driver for Independence Equipment and Supply Company. He was a fan of country music and in his younger days enjoyed going fishing.

He is survived by his sons, John (Dawn) Sullivan of Portsmouth, Kevin Sullivan of Port Allen, LA; daughters, Jeannie Sullivan, Virginia (Michael) Rogers of Portsmouth; brothers, John (Phyllis) Sullivan or Fort Worth, TX, Dennis Sullivan of LA, Terry (Debbie) Sullivan of Portsmouth; sisters, Jewell "Judy" Butler of Marion, Peggy (George) Williams of Greenup, KY, Helen "Heidi" (Roger) Thompson of Marion, Donna (Don) Wise of Portsmouth; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Diane Sullivan, and a grandson, Robert David Adams, II.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville. Interment will follow at Buckeye Cemetery in Haverhill. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. before the funeral. The family would greatly appreciate donations to help with George's funeral expenses.
