Age 90 of Portsmouth, formerly of Sciotoville, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Hillview Retirement Center. She was born January 6, 1922 in Ironton to Pearlie and Frances (Wright) Ferguson. She graduated in 1940 from Portsmouth High School and was married to Ray Conley on December 13, 1945 in Portsmouth. Georgia worked for 36 years as a cafeteria manager for the Portsmouth City Schools, most of her time working at Harding Elementary. She was a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Portsmouth, enjoyed cooking, celebrating the holidays, and spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Sue Baker of Columbus; one granddaughter, Rebecca Rae Baker; two great grandsons; several nieces and nephews. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ray; two brothers, Herman and Raymond Ferguson; and a sister, Mary Louise Conley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Rev. Richard North officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 - 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
