Geraldine Sexton, age 78 of Portsmouth passed away Wednesday July 13, 2016 at her residence. She was born February 5, 1938 in Adams County, a daughter of the late Luther and Vesta Blevins Holsinger. Geraldine was a 1956 graduate of Glenwood High School and a member of Mabert Road Christian Baptist Church. She retired from the former Williams Shoe Factory and was a Beautician.

She is survived by two brothers, Luther (Cindy) Holsinger Jr. and Tony (Nancy) Perkins both of Portsmouth; three sisters, Dretia Clark, Lorene (David) Heath, and Pamela (Larry) Pennington, all of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Sexton and several brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m Monday July 18, 2016 at D.W. SWICK- NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor James Benner officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Memorial Burial Park. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Monday from 3 to 4 p.m at the funeral home.
