Age 94 of Columbus, formerly of Sciotoville, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Dungannon, VA to Floyd and Ada (Donalson) Hall on May 27, 1917. Glen was a graduate of the Ohio School for the Deaf, inducted into OSD'S basketball Hall of Fame, was a longtime member and officer of Ohio Association of the Deaf and cofounder of the Portsmouth Association of the Deaf. He was an original member of the Columbus Association of the Deaf, a former Golden Glove boxer, and a retired employee of the Portsmouth Daily Times. Glen is survived by two sons, Ken (Linda) Hall of Garrison, KY, Ben (Linda) Hall of Sunbury, OH; grandson, Ryan (Sue) Hall of Columbus; two brothers, Harold Hall of CA, Gerald Hall of AZ; one sister, Dorothy Cohee of Columbus; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Lewallen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Bennett Hall. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Rev. Richard North officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be Friday at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ohio School for the Deaf Athletic Department.
