Obituary

Glennis Ray Gambill, 84, of Wheelersburg, passed away Tuesday November 18, 2025. He was born July 22, 1941 in Portsmouth, a son of the late Harry and Delia Johnson Gambill.

He was formerly Director of the Maintenance Department at Community Action from 1977 to 2022. He loved to read Western novels, work on cars and bicycles. He also enjoyed collecting, antiquing and sitting on his swing, on the front porch.

Glen is survived by his wife, Pam (Antonara) Gambill; two sons, Glen Gambill of Portsmouth and Angelo (Alicia) Gambill of Wheelersburg; three daughters, Julie (Dwayne) Pennington of Houston, TX, Maria (Charles) Floyd of Wheelersburg and Laura (Steve) Vassar of Houston, TX; a brother, Mike Gambill: four sisters, Linda Pennington, Pam Warnock, Debbie Hamilton and Shelby Pennington; 9 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother Steve Gambill; two sisters, Donna Cole, Connie Johnson and a grandson, Charles Floyd.

Services will be 12:30 PM Monday, November 24, 2025 in Edgewood Abby Mausoleum at Memorial Burial Park under the direction of the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg.
