Goldie McGlone, 78, of Wheelersburg, passed away on March 18, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Born on October 23, 1947, in Lawrence County, Ohio, Goldie was the beloved daughter of the late Andrew Jones and Carrie Bell. She carried her faith with her every day, attending Old Philadelphia Tabernacle in Minford and finding comfort and strength in reading her Bible. Her quiet devotion was a guiding light in her life and a source of inspiration to those who knew her.
Goldie found joy in life’s simple pleasures—walking through flea markets, sharing stories, and most of all, being surrounded by her family. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She was a devoted wife, a caring mother, a proud grandmother, and a treasured friend. To know Goldie was to feel loved.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Wesley McGlone, who stood by her side through life’s journey; Sons, Carl (Andrea) McGlone, Charles McGlone, Wesley (Rosa) McGlone, Keith McGlone; Daughters, Teresa McGlone, and Beverly (Jay) Turvey; Brother, Bill (Nancy) Jones; and Sister, Debbie Fulk. She was a proud and loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Goldie was reunited in heaven with her parents; her brothers, Herman, Wayne, and Steve Jones; her sister, Joann Carter; and her beloved grandson, Joshua Adkins.
Her love, her faith, and her gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, March 25, 2026, 2:00 PM at D.W. SWICK & SON FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES in South Webster, with Maurice Pierce officiating. Interment at South Webster Cemetery to follow. Visitation will be 12:00 NOON - 2:00 PM. Mercy dinner to follow interment at South Webster Baptist Church.
