Age 73, of Franklin Furnace passed away Saturday July 18,2015 at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born November 17, 1941 in Scioto County a daughter of the late Everett and Margaret Elswick Cook. Grace loved raising flowers, gardening and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Stamper; two sons, Danny Yates of Sciotoville and Brian (Heather) Yates of New Boston; four daughters, Carol Yates and Teri of Marion, OH., Tracie Moore and Eric of Portsmouth, Tammy Yates of Wheelersburg and Rhonda (Roy) Collins of Lucasville; two sisters, Loretta Sue Hubbard of Portsmouth and Ada Cook of Jackson; three brothers, Everett Cook Jr. of New Boston, Rick Cook of South Webster, William Cook of Portsmouth; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Bobby Yates and Marlin Yates; 3 brothers, Albert, Leslie and James Cook; 2 sisters, Geneva Cook and Catherin Cook; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Yates; grandchildren, Adam Yates, Zachary, Sierra and Noah Yates.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 23, 2015 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Matt Mayhew officiating. Interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery.
