Age 78, of Portsmouth, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at SOMC in Portsmouth. She was born on November 17, 1935 in Greenup KY to Nathan and Emma Royster. Grace provided years of home health care, but was primarily a homemaker to her husband, Charles and her sons.
She is survived by her two sons, Don Ferrell (Shirley) of Madison, GA and Charles Shigley, Sr. (Natalie) of Wheelersburg; one sister, Edith Heller of Dayton; seven grandchildren, Amanda Walin (John) of Tacoma, WA, Sherri Ferrell of Gig Harbor, WA, Shavaughn Shonkwiler of Columbus, Kimberly Polachek (Dusty) of Wheelersburg, Kyle Shonkwiler of Portsmouth, Charles, "C.J." Shigley, Jr. of Wheelersburg, Cheyenne Shigley of Wheelersburg; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte Walin and Katelynn Reynolds; special friends, the Herman Patrick family. In addition to her parents and husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ray, Howard, Bill and Paul; five sisters, Lucille, Patty, Ruth, Audrey, and Julie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Rev. Gary L. Shonkwiler and Pastor Mark Bales officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour before the service on Friday.
