Guy Stephen "Steve" Litz, 60, of Big Stone Gap, VA passed away Saturday August 10, 2024 at his residence. He was born September 10, 1963 in Ironton, a son of Mable Joan (Pieratt) Litz and the late Billy Otis Litz.

He was a U S Army Veteran and worked in the maintenance department at Ridge Crest Nursing Home. He was a graduate of Wheelersburg High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing and making knives. He loved being a clown and making everyone laugh.

Besides his mother, Steve is survived by his fiancée, Jonna Ballengee; a son Gabriel Litz and fiancée Katie of Oregon; a daughter, Amanda Dalley of Colorado; a brother, Billy Litz and wife Benita of Portsmouth; a sister Susan Adams and husband Ted of Wheelersburg; a special daughter Christina Hounshell and husband Andrew, 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday August 15, 2024 at the D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (Wolfe-Nelson Chapel) in Sciotoville with Pastor Sam Cooke officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Military Graveside Honors by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Wednesday August 14, 2024 at one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.
