Frances Louise Hamilton, 98, of Mason, formerly of Sciotoville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, OH. She was born September 19, 1911 in Portsmouth to the late Frank and Louise (Armbrust) Wente. Frances was an avid gardener, loved to cook, and sang in her church choir. Her husband, Lewis, was a pastor for Carey's Run in West Portsmouth, Central Church of Christ in Portsmouth, and Vanceburg Christian Church in Vanceburg, KY. She was a long time member of Sciotoville Church of Christ. Frances is survived by one son, Michael B. (Marilee) Hamilton of Montgomery, OH; one grandson, Chris (Jennifer) Hamilton of Carmel, IN; one grandaughter, Suzanne Hamilton of Schaumburg, IL; and three great-grandchildren, Isabel, Madeline, and Camille. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, in 1976 as well as her six brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Denny Dawes officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
