Harold Jack McGowan Sr., 71, of South Webster, died Thursday August 29, 2013 at his residence after a long illness. He was born September 10, 1941 in Michigan, a son of the late Denver and Irene Elswick McGowan. Harold is survived by his wife, Velva Jean Queen McGowan; 3 sons, Harold J. McGowan Jr., Kevin W. McGowan and Steven M. McGowan all of South Webster; 3 daughters, Emily J. McGowan of South Webster, Loretta Montalvo of Sullivan, OH. and Tammy L. McGowan of South Webster; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann McGowan; 2 brothers, Andrew and Clyde McGowan and Emily Ocey Price who raised him. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday August 31, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN SOUTH WEBSTER with Pastor Ronnie Rawlins officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Furnace cemetery.
