Age 70, of Wheelersburg, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at her home. She was born in Wolf County, KY on October 6, 1940 to John & Edith (Karson) Carson. On October 17, 1963 she married Elva Richmond and eventually settled in Wheelersburg. Ida was a homemaker, a member of the Lyra Pentecostal Church, and more than anything enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Elva Richmond; two daughters, Linda Henderson (Rick) and Rita Buckley, both of Wheelersburg; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Hopper and Mary Carson, both of Dayton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Doug McIntosh; one daughter-in-law, Ruth McIntosh; one daughter, Shelley Haywood; two sisters, Naomi Carson and Delores Carson; and five brothers, Ray Carson, John Carson, Paul Carson, Roger Carson, and an infant brother, Richard Carson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Rick Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Vernon Cemetery.
