Age 80 of Mogadore, formerly of Wheelersburg, passed away May 9, 2016 at her home. She was born in Blue Creek, OH on June 24, 1935 to Charles Alonzo Secrates and Icie (Chamblin) Baker. She was a homemaker and enjoyed all kind of arts and crafts including quilting and making jam. For 30 years she was a member of Truth Tabernacle in Wheelersburg and for the last six years she attended Apostolic Temple in Akron. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Irene is survived by four daughters, Brenda (Ed) Sparks of Wheelersburg, Tina (James)Williams Zorns of Wheelersburg, Alice (Daniel) McQuithy of Akron, and Lana Williams of Akron; one brother, James Baker of Portsmouth; two sisters, Shirley Lacey of West Union, Iona Hervey of Spencer; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Williams, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2016 at WOLFE-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastors Robert Davis and Don Meade, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour before the service.
