Jacqueline Lara Keeton

Age 78 of Sciotoville, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at SOMC in Portsmouth. She was born on September 30, 1935 in Kanawa County, WV to Adolf "Doc" and Bertha (Freeman) Steed. Early on she worked at Mitchellace and Kresge, but spent most of her life as a mother and homemaker. Jacqueline was of the Pentecostal faith, enjoyed embroidery, cooking, and was a big reader. More than anything she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathie Ervin (Timothy) of Sciotoville; three sisters, Geraldine Wagenhalls of Wheelersburg, Marietta Bradford of Portsmouth, Carol McNeil of Sciotoville; two granddaughters, Vanessa Smith (Chris) of Sciotoville, Misty Keeton of Longview, TX; three great-grandchildren, Taelin, Grace, and Emilee Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Keeton, in 2004; her son, Charles Keeton II, in 1994; three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will follow in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
