James E. Adkins, Jim to his family and friends, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. He was born September 19, 1958, in Little Rock, AR, a son of Bobby E. and Lois A. (Raynard) Adkins. Jim was a graduate of South Webster High School and Scioto County Joint Vocational School. He was employed by Coleman Packaging in Jackson, Oh. Along with his parents, Jim is survived by his grandmother, Thelma Raynard of Cleveland; his wife and companion of 14 years, Dee (Beckley) Adkins; a daughter, Kristen Howard; and granddaughter, Brooklyn, both of Salt Lick, KY; two step-sons, Sammy Canter III and Evan Canter, both at home; a brother, Tim (Michelle) Adkins of Ocala, FL; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends that loved him dearly. Jim enjoyed spending time with family and frineds camping, 4-wheeling, hunting, horseback riding, and hanging out by the campfire. Jim was loved by all and will be missed dearly. Services will be 1:00 Friday, June 1, 2012 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Merit Smith officiating. Burial will be at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 pm and from noon until 1:00 Friday at D.W. Swick in South Webster. Condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com.
