Age 89, of Salisbury, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD. Born in Charters, KY, he was the son of the late Charles Wilford Harrison and Flora Darling Swearingen Harrison. He was a US Navy WWII veteran and was a machine shop superintendent, having worked for Dresser Industries for 40 years, retiring in 1986. He loved working on his cars and enjoyed woodworking. James is survived by 2 sons, Stephen A. (Theresa) Harrison of Delmar, DE and Scott B. (Patricia)Harrison of Norfolk, VA; 1 daughter, Susan E. Lahoski (Jim) of Belleville, OH; 4 grandchildren, Sean, Jessica, Stacey, and Amy; 4 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Grace, Alexander, and Teagan; and a sister, Janes Mills (Earl) of Cincinnati, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Frances Bentley Harrison (2009); a sister, Mary Frances Carwile; 2 brothers, Paul and Kenneth Harrison. A visitation was held Monday, March 7, 2011 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, MD. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home, 5951 Gallia Street, Sciotoville, OH with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Old Wheelersburg Cemetery in Wheelersburg, OH. Memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O.
