James Leroy Humble, 79, of Scioto Furnace, died Monday, June 29, 2009. He was born June 10, 1930, in Buena Vista, Ohio. He is survived by a son, Carl L. Humble of Portsmouth; a daughter, Barbara (Greg) Jones of South Webster; a brother, Robert Humble of Buena Vista; a sister, Ettalene Gifford of Portsmouth; a grandson, Dustin Jones and fiance Marissa Nickell; a great-grandson, Ethan Alexander Jones, and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie Rawlins Humble; three brothers, Raymond Humble, John Humble and William Humble; and one sister, Margaret Kersey. Services will be 11 AM on Friday, July 3, 2009 at D. W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster, with Patrick Burnett and Jeff Humble officiating.
