James Neal Lockhart, 64, of Wheelersburg, died Saturday evening, March 6, 2010 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born October 28, 1945 in Portsmouth to the late John and Cynthia (Butler) Lockhart. James was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Lockhart and a sister, Anita Margaret Lockhart. He is survived by four brothers; Mark Lockhart of Wheelersburg, John (Betty) Lockhart of South Webster, David (Ursula) Lockhart of Wheelersburg, and Raymond (Harriet) Lockhart of Alsaka; a sister, Cynthia (Thomas) Webb of Wheelersburg; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Pyle Cemetery in Harrison Township with Pastors Bill Adkins and Bob Stiltner officiating. Military services will be provided by the American Legion, James Dickey Post #23. Friends may call at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville is handling the arrangements.
