Age 77 of Wheelersburg, died January 3, 2018 at his home. He was born February 9, 1940 in Lawrence County, Ohio to Edward and Laura Miller. James worked in construction, installing drywall for many years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and rabbit-hunting. He especially enjoyed hunting for ginseng.

James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet Miller; son, Lonnie Miller of Wheelersburg; daughters, Tawnya Zirkles of Wheelersburg, Irene Sergeant of Wheelersburg, Betty Frye of Sciotoville, Connie Miller of Portsmouth; brothers, Ori Miller of Minford, Lou Miller of Sciotoville; sisters, Rachel Rowe, Lori, Virginia Wiley, Hazel, Mildred, and LaVonne; grandchildren, Dallas (Jessica) Miller of Wheelersburg, Dale (Nikki) Zirkles of Wheelersburg, Terry (Jennifer) Zirkles of Lucasville, Erica Mershon of West Portsmouth, Tommy Mershon of West Portsmouth; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Dylan, Brianna, Terry, Jr., Ricky, Tucker, Jensen, Tommy Jr., and Aiden. He was preceded in death by his parents.
