James Leonard Schouster, 74, of Portsmouth died June 17, 2011 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. He was born on January 23, 1937 to William and Cora (York) Schouster of Highland Bend, OH. He was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed travel and playing horseshoes. James is survived by one son, John (Sandra) Schouster of Heath, OH; two daughters, Tina (Randy) Sheets of Mt. Sterling, OH and Robin (Michael) Pratcher of Grove City, OH; two brothers, Charles (Maudie Mae) Schouster and Donald (Linda) Schouster, both of Camp Bennett; four sisters, Wanda Stragaro of Ashville, OH, Margaret (Benny) Jones of Ashville, OH, Patricia Lane of South Bloomfield, OH, and Maudie (Frank) McGuire of Lockborne, OH; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Schouster, his parents, and a sister, Alice James. As per his wishes, his body will be donated to OSU, Gift for Learning Program.
