James Workman,
Sr.
July 27, 1941 – July 26, 2016
James Donald Workman Sr. (Jim) of Wheelersburg, Ohio peacefully passed away Tuesday at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Jim died two hours before his 75th birthday from a stroke. Born the elder son of James and Thelma Workman in 1941, he was a graduate of Belton High School in South Carolina.
Jim honorably served our country in the Air Force and then worked for National Cash Register until his retirement.
Jim was the father of four children: Jennifer Asbury (Chris) of Nitro, WV, Julie Logan (Scott) of Wheelersburg, Cheryl Workman of Waverly, and JD Workman of Portsmouth.
He was "Papaw" to Jessica Coleman of Wanchese, NC, Tiffany Hawkins of Virginia Beach, VA, Jeanette Rapp of Wheelersburg, Erin Rapp of Piketon, Alexandrea Logan of Amelia Island, FL, Julianna Logan of Wheelersburg and Olivia Logan of Wheelersburg. Jim had two great-grandsons, Isaac White and Eli Rapp. He is also survived by one brother, Bob (Donna) Workman of Wheelersburg; two nephews, Brian Workman of Cleveland and Steve Workman of Minford; and two lifelong friends, David Heller of SC and Harold "Sponge" Danes of Portsmouth.
Friends and family may call on Saturday, August 6th from 1 to 3 p.m. at Wheelersburg Faith Baptist Church for a celebration of Jim's life. Online condolences may be left at www.WolfeNelsonFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers, Jim would want to urge everyone to vote for Donald Trump.
