Age 87 of Wheelersburg passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born November 26, 1929 in Gary, Indiana to Clarence and Mary (York) Bowen. A 1947 graduate of Wheelersburg High School, she honorably served her country as a member of the United States Air Force. She was a teacher by profession and taught kindergarten at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, AZ before moving to Wheelersburg in 1968. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Jane is survived by sons, Steven Pettigrew of Portsmouth, David (Kathy) Pettigrew of Phoenix, AZ, Michael (Juanita) Pettigrew of Wheelersburg; daughter, Jill (Dave) Collins of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Bruce Bowen of Portsmouth, John Bowen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Timothy Bowen of Millington, TN, Russell Bowen of Wheelersburg, Clarence Bowen of West Portsmouth, Peter Bowen of Minford, Charles Bowen of Wheelersburg; sisters, Ruth Lewis of Wheelersburg; Sharon Moore of TN, Melanie Parlin of Wheelersburg, Leah Miller of Wheelersburg, Julie Spradlin of Wheelersburg; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Pettigrew in 1968; sisters, Phyllis Davish and Diana Archangel; brothers, Tom and Allen Bowen.
