Jason Dale Nix, 45, of South Webster passed away Saturday March 27, 2021. He was born December 25, 1975 in Portsmouth, a son of Stephen and Teresa (Thomas) Nix. He was a welder with Local 577, was a 1994 graduate of Clay High School and loved working on old trucks, hiking, four wheeling with trucks, doing research on plants and trees, grilling out and sitting by the fire.
Jason is also survived by his wife, Heather (Montavon) Nix; a son, Branden Nix; two daughters, Chloe Nix and Ashlynn Barker all of South Webster; a brother, Jody McGuire and wife Regina of Portsmouth; grandfather, Bill Powell of Rosemount; a special nephew who he raised, Cody (Tiffany) Childress and their son Braylen; several other nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; all his dogs, his old dog Jake, Nala, Coco, Blackie, Gizmo and Bandit.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday April 1, 2021 at D.W.SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Merit Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.
