Jesse Horner, 74, of South Webster, died, Friday, April 20, 2012 at SOMC Hospice. He was born August 9, 1937, in Blackfork, Ohio, a son of the late Harmon Ester and Dorothy Moore Horner. Jesse was formerly employed by Chemtron Railroad and was the owner/operator of Horner Logging. He was a member of the Kokeen Ridge Freewill Baptist Church in Oak Hill. Jesse is survived by his wife, Dorothy Adkins Horner of South Webster; four sons, Jesse (Vicki) Horner, Jr., Robert ( Sherri) Horner, Ricky Horner (Angie Jordan), and Christopher Horner, all of South Webster; two daughters, Stephanie Horner Johnson, Lisa (Lonnie) Sheets all of South Webster; two brothers, Frank (Carol) Horner of South Webster, Earl (Jennie) Horner of McDermott; a sister, Linda Horner Mullins of Wheelersburg; eight grandchildren, Josh, T.J., Ryan, Cherie-Ann, Shawn, Ashley, Cody, Dustin; and two great-grandchildren, Trenton and Chloe. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Horner; a son-in-law, Tim Johnson; a daughter-in-law, April Horner; a brother, Richard Horner; two sisters, Carol Horner Smith, and Betty Horner Johnson. Services will be 2 pm, Monday, April 23, 2012 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Sammy Hale officiating. Burial will be at South Webster Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 until 8 pm and one hour prior to the service at D.W. Swick in South Webster. On-line condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com.
