Age 91, of FL, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019. He was born May 30, 1927 to Jesse Lee Sims, Sr. and Jennie Elizabeth Priddy. Jesse was a WWII veteran having served in both the Air Force and the Marines. He was a member of the Kosair Shriner, Masons, and VFW. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Lehigh.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jean (Riddlebarger) Sims; daughters, Judith Sims, Gloria Sims Shirley, Mary Beth Sims, Jessica Sims (Walter) McGee, and Julie Martin Colley; son, Rick (Terri) Martin; brother, Easol Sims; sister, Wanda Sims Martin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Lee Sims, Sr; brother, Eldon Sims; sister, Sarah Sims Priddy.

Graveside services will be held locally at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg with interment to follow. Military rites will be provided by James Dickey Post #23, American Legion. Arrangements are being handled by D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg.
