Joan Shultz Sturgill, 95, of Sciotoville passed away Tuesday June 1, 2021.  She was born January 19, 1926 in Portsmouth a daughter of the late Walter and Annetta Warne Shultz.  She was a retired secretary at the former National Bank, was a member of the Manley Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Joan is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Flynn and husband Frank of Beaver Creek; a son, Rodney Sturgill of Sciotoville; three grandchildren, John Flynn and Cheri Warner both of Beaver Creek and Hannah Sturgill of Sciotoville; and a great granddaughter Joanna Warner of Beaver Creek.

A visitation will be held at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME (WOLFE - NELSON CHAPEL)  in Sciotoville Friday, June 4, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 (NOON) with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Rushtown Cemetery with Chaplin Jeremy Schinkle officiating.  Online condolences may be left at www.DWSwickFuneralHome.com.
