Age 54 of Scioto Furnace, died September 1, 2010 at home. He was born on July 2, 1956 to David and Elsa (Gayheart) Edwards and was married to Lois Edwards. More than anything, John enjoyed working on cars of all kinds and especially loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Lois; two daughters, Veronica Edwards and special friend William Conley of Scioto Furnace, Jessica Luther and special friend Carl Adkins of Oak Hill; two sons, Jonathan Edwards and special friend Brandy Cottrell of Sciotoville, Sean Monroe of Canton, Ohio; stepfather, Alva Slone of Scioto Furnace; sister, Clevestine (Denver) Cline of Marion Ohio; and ten grandchildren, Johnny Conley, Russell Luther, Amanda Luther, Shawn Luther, John Adkins, Layla Adkins, Braylie Montgomery, Taylan Edwards, Macee Edwards, Gavin Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2010 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Terry Dingess officiating.
