John Paxson, 50, of Portsmouth, died, Thursday, February 17, 2011, at SOMC. He was born June 3, 1960 in Portsmouth, a son of Edith White Paxson and the late Earl Paxson. John is survived by his wife of 22years, Sandy; 2 sons, Kevin Clark and Joshua Paxson; 1 daughter, Amanda Conkle; 4 brothers, Jim (Orlene) Paxson, David (Theresa) Paxson, Henry (Kathy) Paxson, Bill (Diane) Paxson; 5 sisters, Carolyn (Frank) Armstrong, Connie Pack, Susan (Darrell) Goodwin, Sherry (Ralph) McNutt, Tammy Jenkins; 2 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his special companion, Angel. He was also preceded in death by his niece Misty Dawn Goodwin. Services will be 1pm Monday, February 21, 2011 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Ron Blevins officiating.
