Joseph C. "Joey" Lawhun, 54, of West Portsmouth, died Friday Sept. 13, 2013 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born March 21, 1959 in Lakeland, FL. a son of Mildred Brown Lawhun of Canal Winchester and the late Joe Lawhun. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the former Scioto River Catfish Club. He is also survived by his wife, Judy Cunningham Lawhun; 2 daughters, Gwen (Jack) Adkins and Lisa Lawhun all of West Portsmouth; Jeremiah Cunningham-Dobbins who was like a son; a sister, Veronica Moore of Canal Winchester; 2 aunts, Slone Horsley and Vicki Brown and 4 grandchildren, Jaclynn, Elijah, Tyler and Bradley. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday Sept. 18, 2013 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN NEW BOSTON with Pastor Gene Kitchen officiating. Interment will follow at McKendree cemetery.
