Judith Faye Cook, 81, of Portsmouth passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023. She was born June 25, 1941 in Wheelersburg a daughter of the late Thad and Julia (Nelson) Caldwell. She had worked for the Bloom Local School District for 21 years, loved baking. coloring and fishing. She caught the record Bluegill and was very proud of that. She also loved spending time with her family.
Judy is survived by two daughters; Shirlene McCoslin and Christine (James) Sanders both of Portsmouth; a grandson; J.W. (Jaylynn) Sanders of Wheelersburg; granddaughter, Amy (Michael) Howard of Sciotoville; great-great granddaughter, Renesmee Sanders; a brother, Jim (Brenda) Caldwell and a sister; JoAnn (William) Grashel all of Wheelersburg.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Cook who she married on September 16, 1979; a daughter, Melanie who died at birth; a brother; Charles Caldwell; sisters; Vera Caldwell, Mindy Mollett and Cora Marshall.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday February 25, 2023 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster with Pastor Brad Angus officiating. Interment will follow at Scioto Furnace Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
