Karen Lea Hollback, 84 of Ashley Corner, OH passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026. She was born in Portsmouth, OH on August 14, 1941, to the late George Randolph and Dorothy Eloise (Yeley) Dials. She graduated from South Webster High School in 1959. She married Melvin J. Hollback on November 6, 1959, at Bloom Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member until the time of her passing. Karen enjoyed music and singing throughout school and in church; her time spent in 4-H; church activities; her work as an administrative assistant at the A-Plant in Piketon; her hobbies of crocheting and pie baking; and time spent with her family and friends.

Karen leaves behind her dearly loved husband of 66 years, Melvin; children, Todd (Melinda) Hollback and Jenni (Spencer) Cheek; grandchildren Lydia, Karina, Allison and Andrew, John Michael, Alia, Jacob, Abra, Talya, Josiah; ten great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Janet Stroth; and dear nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Fields and brother Jon Dials; and granddaughter Layla Hollback.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Bloom Free Will Baptist Church, Scioto Furnace with Pastors Allen Harner and Roger Lavender offering words of comfort. Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery, South Webster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bloom Free Will Baptist Church, 7788 State Route 140, Wheelersburg, OH, 45694.
