Age 63, of Waterford, formerly of Wheelersburg, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. She was born in Portsmouth on March 3, 1951 to Claude and Mamie (Pace) Vicars. A 1969 graduate of Wheelersburg High School, she had attended Church of Christ in Wheelersburg before she moved to Lorain in 1980. Kathy and her husband, Tom, subsequently moved to Marietta in 1988. She loved horses and had a great interest in genealogy.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Tom; one son, Chris (fiancé Pam) Howard of Parkersburg, WV; one grandaughter, Ivy Howard; one sister, Genie (John) Lewis of Minford; one brother, Dennis (Jackie) Watts of Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Rosie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.
