Keith Whitcomb Coon, Jr., 27, of Portsmouth, died at his residence on Monday, September 7, 2009. He was born on April 3, 1982 in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire to Beth Underwood Coon and the late Keith Coon, Sr. Keith graduated from Shawnee State University this past spring with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He had many friends and all that knew Keith loved him. Keith always brightened up a room when he entered and he always made people smile. He loved to travel and take road trips with those that were dear to him. He is survived by his wife, Amber Donley Coon, whom he married in March of 2009; one son, Logan Payton and one daughter, Autumn Payton, both at home; mother Beth Underwood Coon of Lexington; one sister, Dawn Coon of Columbus; grandparents, Paul Coon of Newport News, VA and Gayle Coon of Gulfport, MS; three nephews, Josiah Kent Burton and Julian Kent Burton, both of Portsmouth, and Gabriel Herman Fahnestock or Columbus; and a niece, Elizabeth Ann Burton of Columbus. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Elizabeth Underwood. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with Pastor Stan Webster officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
