Age 82 of Wheelersburg died October 8, 2016 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth.  He was born December 23, 1933 in Richmonddale, OH to the late Shirley and Gladys Ellifritt.  Ken graduated from East High School and worked for Empire Detroit Steel and New Boston Coke Corporation for 37 years.  He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Mary E. (Pitts) Ellifritt; three sons, Scott (Misty) Ellifritt , Tim (Brenda) Ellifritt, and Jeff Ellifritt, all of Wheelersburg; four grandchildren, Josh Ellifritt, Brittney Ellifritt, and Ashley Ellifritt, all of Wheelersburg, Pvt. Grace Ellifritt of Fort Stewart, GA; one sister, Maxine Munn of Wheelersburg. The family would like to thank Chris and Zach Frowine for all their help with his care.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at South Webster Cemetery with Pastor Harold Barton officiating.  Military rites will be provided by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.  Arrangements are being handled by D.W SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in South Webster.  Memorialas preferred to SOMC Hospice.  Online condolences may be sent to www.DWSwickNelsonFuneralHome.com.
