Kenneth "Kenny" Galloway, 76, of Sciotodale, died, Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born Dec. 1, 1935 in Buenavista, Ohio, a son of the late Harry and Josie Pollard Galloway. Kenny served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Grimm Galloway of Sciotodale, whom he married Oct. 20, 1956; five sons, Kenneth Jr. (Judy) Galloway of Sciotoville, James Galloway of New Boston, Jeffrey Galloway of Sciotoville, Jack (Irene) Galloway of Larue, Buck Galloway of Sciotoville; a godson, Willie (Tammy) Wagner of New Boston; a daughter, Rhonda (Murray) Smith of South Webster, a sister, Lelah (Lester) Vest of Piketon; fifteen grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Kenny was also preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Roy, and Harold Galloway; and a sister, Mable Hodge. Services will be 2 pm Thurs., Jan. 26, 2012 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Roger Powell officiating. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery with Graveside Military Honors by James Irwin Post 622 and William A. Baker Post 363, American Legion. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 until 7 pm, and one hour prior to the service at D.W. Swick in New Boston. On-line condolences to dwswickfuneralhome.com.
