Kerry Dean Maloney, 63, of South Webster, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Born on June 11, 1963, in Norfolk, Virginia, Kerry was the son of the late Roger and Nancy (King) Maloney.
A proud patriot, Kerry honorably served his country in the United States Army. During his military service, he was stationed in Korea and later in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he served with the MedEvac Rescue 571st Team. His love for his country remained with him throughout his life.
Following his military service, Kerry spent many years as a truck driver, traveling through 48 states and making countless memories along the way. He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and a proud member of the Apple City Motorcycle Club. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and spending time with the many friends he made throughout his life. From his school days until his passing, Kerry had a gift for friendship that was more than one could imagine. Above all else, Kerry cherished his family. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his life.
He is survived by his best friend and the love of his life, Sue Rawlins; his children, Kaylee (Michael) Cheesman of Waverly, Hannah (Aaron) Wicker of Wheelersburg, T.J. (Ashley) Baker of Waverly, Elvy (Amanda) Rawlins of Garrison, Kentucky, Eli (Carrie) Rawlins of Ashland, Kentucky, and James (Christi) Rawlins of Wheelersburg; his brothers, Steve (Traci) Maloney of South Webster and Jeremy (Nikki) Maloney of Portsmouth; his sisters, Kim Jenkins of Minford and Kelli Sessor of Minford; his twelve beloved grandchildren, Zane, Jessa, Jaice, Elvy, Gabe, Chase (Stephanie), Evelyn, Cole, Lennox, Gwen, Kylie, and Adilee; his great-grandsons, Theo and Thaddeus, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and so many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Kerry was preceded in death by his nephew, Garrett Maloney.
Kerry will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his loyalty to his friends, his service to his country, and the kindness and laughter he shared with everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 08, 2026, at D.W. Swick & Son Funeral and Cremation Services in South Webster, Joe Van Meter and Charles Veach officiating; interment to follow at Scioto Furnace Cemetery. Military Honors provided by James Dickey Post 23, American Legion. Visitation is 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, prior to the Funeral Service.
