Age 30, of Portsmouth, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at SOMC in Portsmouth. She was born on May 7, 1984 in Portsmouth to Donald & Kim Vicars. Despite her physical challenges, Krista did her best not to let that limit her. She was a wife and mother and had a great sense of humor. She was a talented nail artist, loved to write poems, and shop for bargains. Krista loved Christmas and especially loved spending the holidays with her friends and family. She was a member of the Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Krista is survived by her husband, Fred; one son, Alexander; one daughter, Chloe; mother and stepfather, Kim & Marty Moore of Portsmouth; father and stepmother, Donald & Carla Vicars of South Webster ; one brother, Caiden Moore (partner Jonathan Moore) of Columbus; one sister, Kari Skeens of Portsmouth; stepsister Jessica Moore of Amanda, OH; nephews Blake & Brody Skeens, Mason Matheny; niece Madison Graf; mother and father-in-law, Julia & Marty McCoy of Portsmouth; sister-in-law, Latitia Stiltner of Columbus; lifelong best friend, Emily Mershon of Portsmouth; also her grandparents and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Krista's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union in New Boston with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1-3 p.m. Online condolences may be left at www.WolfeNelsonFuneralHome.com Arrangements are being handled by Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville.
