Age 24 of South Webster, passed away on August 6, 2015 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, OH.  She was born in Portsmouth, OH on September 23, 1990 to Jeffrey and Cathy (Adkins) Pendleton.  Kyla was born with Prader-Willi syndrome, a condition which challenged her in a number of ways.  She faced these challenges with strength and determination and never complained.  She was a member of 4H, loved all kinds of animals, and was very successful raising pigs.  She enjoyed movies, people, and above all loved assisting others, especially those who were handicapped.  She graduated from Vern Riffe School in 2012, was of the Baptist Faith, and attended South Webster Baptist Church.  Kyla will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind, warmhearted, and giving person.

She is survived by her parents, Jeffrey and Cathy Pendleton of South Webster; brother, Justin Pendleton of Sciotoville; grandparents, Ewell Pendleton of South Webster, Wendell and Linda Adkins of Oak Hill; aunts, Diana Groves (Joe) of Rosemont, Rhonda Adkins Smith of Wheelersburg; uncles, Tom Pendleton of South Webster, Ron Pendleton of South Webster; cousins, Brittany Kent of Latham, Erica Brenton of Columbus, Cami Groves of Minford, Christopher Pendleton of GA, Haley Smith of Wheelersburg, Ryan Evans of Wheelersburg.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Pendleton, and a cousin in infancy, Ethan Evans.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at D.W. Swick-Nelson Funeral Home in South Webster with Pastor Ryan Hagen officiating.  Interment will follow at South Webster Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday from 5 – 8 at the funeral home and one hour before the service on Tuesday.  Online condolences may be left at www.dwswicknelsonfuneralhome.com  D.W.
