Age 61 of Wheelersburg passed away at his home on Saturday, May 5, 2012. He was a 1968 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and worked for UPS for 33 years. Larry enjoyed playing the guitar, was an NRA member, and a clay shooting enthusiast. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Paulette (Oppy) Long; two daughters, Lisa Sheets (Paul) of Lucasville, Niki Long of Wheelersburg; one stepdaughter, Tessa Bennett (Jason) of Wheelersburg; three stepsons, Todd Hyland (Debbie) of South Webster, Tyler Hyland (Cindy) of Dayton, Trent Hyland (Liesl) of Arlington, VA; eight grandchildren, Christopher Sheets, Jordan Hyland, Olivia Hyland, Bryce Hyland, Alexis Hyland, Cohen Bennett, Garrett Bennett, Addalyn Bennett; three sisters, Carmie Rideout (John) of Norway, MA, Virginia Bond, Debra Adkins of Portsmouth. He was preceded in death by his parents.
