Age 74 of Portsmouth passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2017 in Wheeling, WV. He was born January 27, 1943 in Minford to Russell and Sally (Mullins) Loop. Leon was a steel worker for Dayton Walker Steel by profession and a member of the Moose Lodge. He was of the Christian faith, enjoyed fishing, working on cars, motorcycling, and taking long drives in the country.

He is survived by his sons, David Loop of Portsmouth and Gregory Loop of Louisiana; daughter, Stephanie Loop (fiance' Mike Graham) of St. Clairsville; brother, Clyde Loop of Portsmouth; sister, Sue Stiles (Raymond) of South Webster; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny.
