Linda Hutchens, 86, of Portsmouth, passed Friday, July 11, 2025, at SOMC Hospice Center. She was born on December 4, 1938, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Ralph and Martha (Burkhardt) Elliott.

Linda was a 1957 graduate of Portsmouth High School and loved being involved with PHS Reunions and get togethers. She formerly worked at Colonial Florist, enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She enjoyed attending Portsmouth Little theatre and was wild about Ohio State Football. Linda also enjoyed traveling with her husband, John, before his passing in April of 2017.

Linda is survived by a son, John Patrick Hutchens and wife Melissa; a grandson Andrew John Hutchens, and a brother James Elliott, all of Portsmouth.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday July 15, 2025, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Sciotoville with Pastor Dennis Dawes officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park. Visitation will be from 11AM to 1 PM prior to service on Tuesday.
