Obituary

Linnie E. Cook, 65 of South Webster passed away Wednesday Jan. 14, 2015 at home after a long illness. She was a daughter of the late Berdie and Helen Gill of Portsmouth.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Cook of South Webster; four daughters, Kimberly Plummer, Alberta Cook and Melissa (Tony) Cook all of Portsmouth and Mindy (Michelle) Cook of New Philadelphia, OH. ;9 grandchildren, Kayla (Stevie) Cook, Timothy (Katie) Cook, Amanda (Frankie) Cook, Heather (Marty) Cook, Cassi Cook, Josh Webb, Jacob (Cheyenne) Cook, Eli Cook and Kearra Davis; 9 great grandchildren, Haydn Young, Kenzy Young, Gabe Harris, Franklin Harris, Timothy Moore, Taylin Cook, Hannah Cook, Maesyn Hatfield and Caesyn Hatfield; 3 sisters, Norma (Robert) Cooley, Betty (Steve) McKee and Zola Mae (Joe) Blankenship. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Cook; a daughter, Margaret Houston; 3 sisters, Barbara Piatt, MaryLou Stintson and Alberta Gill; 4 brothers, Larry Gill, Charles Gill, Bobby Gill, Kenneth Gill and stepdad, Charley Hayton. She was a former member of the Portsmouth Moose and Portsmouth Eagles and was formerly employed at BG's Market in the meat department.

Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday Jan. 17, 2015 at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME IN SOUTH WEBSTER with interment to follow at Scioto Furnace cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 6 to 8 PM and Saturday 12 noon to 1 PM at the funeral home. Condolences to www.dwswickfuneralhome.com.
