Age 95, of Portsmouth, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Hillview Retirement Center. He was born December 26, 1915 in Johnson County, KY to Garland and Dorothy Mae (Salyer) Frazier. Lionel worked in the electrical department of Empire Detroit Steel and retired in 1979. He was a Navy veteran having served during World War II and was an avid golfer. Lionel is survived by two sons, Lionel G. "Toad" (Judy) Frazier of Wheelersburg, Rick Frazier of Ludlow, KY;4 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and close friend, Pauline Hyland. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; and three brothers, Pete Frazier, Ramah T. Frazier, Leon Frazier. Funeral services will be at 11:00 on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion, James Dickey Post 23. Friends may call from 4 - 7 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
