Loretta Murphy Chamberlin, 86, of Wheelersburg, OH, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the SOMC Hospice Inpatient Center in Portsmouth, OH.

She was born July 12, 1934, in Scioto County, OH, to Henry Edward Murphy, Sr. and Mary Helen Meenach Murphy. Loretta attended the Sciotoville Church of the Nazarene, where she was friend and mentor to many. She was affectionately known as "Mom" for over twenty years to the youth in her church family. Her Christian faith and example led many to the Lord and influenced both young and old to be and do better, to love others and to never give up.

Loretta was so very proud of her family, who lovingly surrounded her and were amazed by her strength.  She is survived by daughters Yvonne (Tom) Justice, Debra Ramey and Carolee (Eric) Onstead; sons Robert "Pete" (Jeannie) and Danny (Lisa); eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, as well as brother Paul Edward (Carrie Jean) Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Preston Chamberlin, and siblings, Henry Edward Murphy, Jr., James Eldon Murphy, Barbara Murphy, Elanora Murphy Mullens, Tim Edward Murphy Charlotte Murphy McCormick, Marcella Murphy Allen and Glenda Murphy.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 pm at D W Swick Funeral Home in Wheelersburg.  Funeral services will be Friday at 12:00 noon at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg. Interment will be held at a later date at  the Old Wheelersburg Cemetery in Wheelersburg, OH.
