Erma Mabel Lore, longtime resident of Eden Park died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Crystal Care Center . She was born in West Portsmouth , a daughter of the late John and Bertha Sowards Cooley. Mabel was of the Christian Baptist Faith, was owner of the former Mabel's Beauty Salon and was a former Sunday School Teacher for many years. She is survived by her husband, Sherman Lore whom she married on August 5, 1960 in Greenup, KY.; one daughter, Patricia Weeks and husband Robert of Indianapolis, IN.; three grandchildren, Tamara Humphrey, Julie Kilmer and Kirk Weeks all of Indianapolis; two great-grandchildren, Colvin and Madison Humphrey; three nieces, Shirley, Julie and Linda. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence, Harold, Earl and Lester and four sisters, Geneva , Marie, Lucy and Nellie. Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Darren Lore officiating. Burial will be at Scioto Burial Park . Visitation will be Monday 5 to 8 PM and Tuesday 10 to 11 AM at D.W. Swick in New Boston.
